Happy Birthday Michelle

For Michelle's Birthday she really wanted to go to
the State Fair.  On the way over, she got rear-ended and had
to go to the emergency room at the hospital.  Her
car was towed away.  Pa went over to help her.
The trip to the State Fair was canceled.
But instead, we all went out to dinner
at a special restaurant.  The Texas Steakhouse.
It was a treat for everyone.

Christian was very happy to get steak.
He rarely is able to get steak that often.
He had the biggest appetite of any of us.

The twins love to compete over Pa
and this keeps him very busy.
Addi-Belle sat next to him and Payson
was on the other side with Ma and Michelle
most of the night.

Michelle and her birthday steak.

Michelle getting a special dessert because
it was of course her BIRTHDAY

At the Texas Steakhouse, instead of singing the
usual Happy Birthday song:  the special
guest sits on a saddle and everyone around yells
a great big "Yee Haw"
Orion could hardly wait until we could yell Yee Haw.

After dinner, we went back to Pa and Ma's house
to give Michelle a Birthday Cake given to her
from Macy.

She got a digital photo frame from

Happy Birthday Macy

When Mommy (Macy) got home from a special
birthday dinner with her friend,
the twins were waiting with excitement.
They ran and told her about the special
Birthday Cake immediately.

So mommy told Addi-Belle and Payson that
they could help her blow out the candles.

One two three BLOW!!

Afterwards she opened her presents.
She had one mailed to her from her dad
that contained a gift card and a book.

The one from Ma and Pa, split as well with her
is a Hot Air Balloon Ride

Later, Evie who is a good frien of Macy's came over
and brought some terrific gifts.  Orion was so excited
that he would not go to bed until the gifts were opened.

The first   gift was some glamorous ear rings.
They reminded Macy of her favorite
Marilyn Monroe.
Macy started pulling out some of the things
she has collected of Marlyn Monroe
such as drinking glasses, coasters,
and shot glasses.

Lo and behold.....the gifts Evie brought for Macy were
Marlilyn Monroe collectibles.
She gave Macy some
coasters, shot glasses and drinking glasses

It was so funny.  This was funnier that reality TV
because it was reality.  We wish we
would have recorded it.

Jack's Birthday September 8, 2011

Jack on his birthday.  He turned 10 years old today.
Normally he has a party, but for some reason
his mom did not plan one this year.
His dad is over in Afganistan with the military right now.
We were surprized to see Jack wearing his new glasses.
No one knew that he needed them,  He said that
he had them for a week now.  He is near sighted.

We went to his apartment to give him a
special birthday gift.  Orion is handing it to him.

Orion and Jack are best of buddies.

Orion went upstairs where they live to visit Jacen for a minute.
What a funny guy Jacen is.

Jack upstairs at his apartment.  He has a big smile on his
face, which is rare since Jack tries not to pose for photos.
His gift was a couple pair of sports pants that his mother requested he get.

July 30 2011

We did not have photos but got some, so this post it a little late.
On July 30, 2011  Pa, Orion,  Michelle, and Jerry were able to travel
to go see Pa's sisters.  It was a special meeting since none of us get to
see them very ofter.  It has been several years since Pa was able to see his sisters,
and even more since Michelle and Jerry have been able to see their aunts.
The following photos are courtesy of Michelle........

August 5, 2011

We had a great time visiting our family
                                                          of children and Grandchildren
                                                                 The Webster Family.
Logan who is 18 months old
could not resist a fun ride
down a very long slide.

Wheee!!

That was fun.  Now for the swing.

Max

                                                            Payson and Addi-Belle
The park was just refurbished with brand
new play ground equipment.  Ma did not go
so all photos are courtesy of the Webster Family.
The last two nights all the grandkids (except Logan)
got to have a huge slumber party out on the
back deck.  We blew up an air mattress,
got sleeping bags and blankets,
and topped it off with a portable DVD player
for the kids to watch a movie.
It was a special treat for them all to be together.

Trip to Santa Fe (Aug 5 2011)

Here comes the Rail Runner to take us to Santa Fe
which is about 60 miles away.  It will be at least
one hours ride.

We loaded up on the car with the platform
that accommodates strollers and wheel chairs.
It is a two story train, so you can sit upstairs too.

Logan stayed in his stroller during the ride.
He was a very good boy and was patient.

St. Francis of Assisi is a saint that is in tune
with nature and loves animals that lived in the 1700's.
This is an old Catholic Chapel that was built in the
late 1800's or possibly early 1900's.  We decided to visit this one because
we went to the Loretto Chapel with the miricle staircase
that is so famous the last time we came the the
Webster Family to Santa Fe.

This is a stone saying that it is dedicated to the
early settlers of Santa Fe.

A closer view.

Inside the Chapel of St. Francis of Assisi

Lots of pillars and stained glass windows.

Another view.

This is all of us just outside the Chapel

Another picture with Ma in it this time.

As we were walking through a grassy area, we
noticed that vendors were setting up their tents
for the sidewalk sales they have each weekend.
We stopped to rest for a minute in the shade when
a funny man came up to us.  He was a magician.
He showed each one some funny magic tricks.

It was fun and amazing to see his tricks with four
sponge balls.  Different tricks each time.
After a quick stop for icecream and drinks,
we decided to catch the train back home again.

Santa Fe trains that were at the train stop.
