Everyone had a great time
and got a bunch of candy too.

Carving Pumpkins

For the twins this year mommy
decided to do something a little different
                                                         with making pumpkins
                                                                  for Halloween.

the other pumpkins
Orion's pumpkin was a HUGE one.
Ma could not help because it was so thick,
so pa carved it out.
Orion first drew a face on it so Pa could see
what he wanted.
Now we can set it out with a candle.
SCARY!!
Bwa ha ha ha haaa!!
The last pumpkin we
were not sure if we were going to carve
or not because the top rotted,
but we decided to carve it
and we compromised.
We made a witch's hat
out of tin foil.

Church Halloween Party

Every year it is our Ward's tradition to have a pot luck dinner,
and a "Trunk or Treat" for the kids.  For some kids, it is the only
Halloween they get. For others, it is a fun party, and another chance
to show people their costumes.  This year was a fun time for our family.
There were about 400 people at the pot luck.
They are all lined up here to get food.
Pa is one of the first in line.

Payson only ate candy for his dinner.
Part of the table decorations were candy corn.
When Pa brought back dinner, he did not eat it.

Addi-Belle only ate candy corn for dinner too.

We made their costumes.
Their mommy decided to have them
be Pebbles and Bam-Bam
from the cartoon "The Flinstones."

Orion was Luigi from Mario
He found a Mario and we never
saw him again for the rest of the night
because they went off and played.  Orion
did not eat dinner, but he got candy from
"Trunk or Treat"
Pa handed out the candy while Ma took
the twins around to each car.  This is
when the twins were done, and they came
back to help Pa.

Macy's Balloon Ride

For Macy's birthday, we all went in together to get her a Hot Air Balloon Ride.
It was a very big surprize for Macy since it is the last thing she ever expected.
When we gave her the envelope (which was the gift) she assumed that it was
a gift card to a restaurant.  She scheduled the ride for one month after her birthday.
This was on October 22, 2011

What a beautiful picture.

There were at leat 10 more

Bion broke his arm

Bion was playing at recess.  Bion and his friends were playing tag,
and Bion was trying not to get tagged, so he jumped from the
monkey bars, and fell on his arm.  His arm bowed and broke.
His daddy took him to the doctors to get
an x-ray.  They wrapped his arm,
but they said that they will put the
cast on his arm on Wednesday.
This is to allow time for swelling.

Wednesday came.  Bion picked out
yellow for his cast.
We hope your arm heals fast Bion.
He was a very good sport about all of it.

Menus

Last week in Cub Scouts, the leader assigned the boys to make a menu for an entire week
consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner.  For Orion, the Breakfasts and lunches were easy
because he just eats at school.  But he made a breakfast and lunch menu for the weekend days,
and he also made a menu for each night of the entire week.  The last night was to go out
and eat at Chick-Fil-A.  (Of course he was not planning on paying for it)
We did not know it at the time of planning, but Tuesday was a special Family Night
that was announced by the christian radio station.  Several families and children were there.
The cow is the mascot for Chick-Fil-A
and since the special Christian Family Night
was pirates, the cow had on a pirate hat.

The Chick-Fil-A cow sat in front where
they were showing a Veggie-Tales movie
about pirates.

Orion was attached to the cow.

The movie screen
for the movie.
This Pirate was the MC of the event.
He was very good with the children.

This pirate was supposed to be Captain Sparrow.
(Captain Sparrow was in the Disney movie
Pirates of the Caribbean)

One  reason for the Family Night that was sponsored
by the christian radio station was to have
a fund raiser to give Christmas donations
for children, and for Christian missions around the world.
We took a box to fill with different things
to give to the children at Christmas.
The airplane may indicate that this
effort is for children through out the world.

The box is the size of a regular shoe box.
It is decorated with the red and green
Christmas colors.
And on top you indicate whether
the gift is for a boy or a girl.
We took a box home to fill,
and then take back later.

Fun Fundraiser

The school usually has us go to certain restaurants each year, and even more than
once in a year to eat.  A percentage of the profits go to the elementary school.
This time however, we had a delima since the school funraiser and Children's Choice
(which is the afternoon child care provider for Orion)  were having the funraiser at the
exact same night, but different restaurants.  We decided that more people will go to
support the school, so we went to the Childrin's Choice funraiser restaurant.  It was
at the Golden Corral.  It is a fun place to eat, and this one is pretty new and very clean.
Orion had a lot of fun this the photos.  Almost all the photos are courtesy of Orion.
