Payson and mascara at age one

Payson decided that he would try out his momma's new mascara.  No one was watching because everyone was  trying to get Addi-belle to stop being cranky.  Payson and Addi-belle were fighting over the broom, and Payson had it first, so Pa took Addi-belle upstairs and gave her a puzzle.  Everyone went back to their own ways when Macy (momma) noticed Payson getting into mischeif.  Oh No!  Payson, your are much too young to decide that you no longer want red hair.  He noticed that the mascara had a brush, so he tried to brush his hair with it several times as you can see........
Momma decided that a very sudsy bath would do the trick.  The mascara was water proof, so water alone would not take it off.  I must say that it took quite a scrubbing.
Addi-belle decided she wanted a sudsy bath too.  Why does Payson get all the fun anyways?

Orion Pinewood Derby night

Tonight was the Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby.
Pa and Orion have been working hard to make
a great car.  Orion picked the design he wanted and
Pa cut it out.  Then Orion sanded it and painted it.
After the paint was dry, Orion was able to put
decals on it.  We measured the weight by going over
to the post office and putting the car on the scales.
Thr Pinewood cars can not weigh more than 5 ounces.  It is hard to see by the picture, but it weighed exactly 5 ounces.  Then the racing began.
Brother Dabling and a dad from the NorthValley  Ward were setting up the race machine.  It is electric so there is no question which cars come in first, second, third and forth.  This maching hold 4 cars at a time.
Each car is supposed to race 4 times, once on each track to see if it is going to be the winner.
Orion came in last, Jack Martin's (his cousin) is in third place.  Jack's car is red.  Orion's car is black.
Orion's car is the one in the middle to the right.  I think he came in last again.  The weights we put on underneath are makin it drag.  We will fix it before the district race in a couple of weeks.
Orion's car is on the far left in this picture.
Orion"s car came in last.  This is a better picture since I changed the settings on my camera for fast moving sports events.  The camera is new, and I am still learning how to adjust the settings.
Orion with his car, a certificate of participation, and a blue ribbon for participation.

Our Family

I decided to start a blog so that it would be a way to keep a journal.
Life is so short, and our memories do not last for long because more
things happen to overlap what we have already lived.
This Blog is mostly for Orion.  There are Pa, Orion and Ma in this picture.
