Ma was able to get a few good photos
from a small single camera
to remember the eclipse of the moon.
The eclipse is called the
Super-moon Lunar Eclipse
or Blood Moon.
The super moon just means
that it is a full moon, and looks extra large
because of its brightness.
The moon was hidden behind the Earth's shadow
as the sun shone on the earth, and the earth
was directly in the path of the light for the moon.
This photo was taken at 7:35 PM
The rest of the photos are taken about 10 minutes apart.
Ma's camera was able to capture
the redness of the atmosphere.
It caught the "red moon"
or "blood moon" look.

But this photo is exactly what we were able
to see at around 9:00 PM
here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
After spending 5 hours on a rooftop with an incredible view of Dallas, I was able to create this composite image showing the moons transition from full moon, to full lunar eclipse, and back. The moon was very shiny and bright
the next morning.
The morning atmosphere was
a hazy red sunrise.
(This is looking west.)
The moon looks so huge and bright.
as the sun was coming up in the eastern skies.
There will not be another eclipse like
this one for 1*8 years. That will be in 2033
