Eating Out

"This is OUR way to eat out" said
Payson and Addi-Belle.  They are eating

pizza out in the back yard.

Chick-fil-A

Today Macy wanted to take her baby twins,
Payson and Addison to Chick-fil-A
so they could go eat a fun dinner
and play.  We decided to go too so
we could have fun seeing them play.
Addi-Belle is coming down the slide.

Now she is climbing back up for more fun.

Payson came down the slide.  The slide is pretty long,
and this is his first time he has slid down it.  He was a little
afraid to go before today.

Now Payson is climbing up for more fun.

Payson decided that the slide is a blast!!

Orion decided he wanted to play as well.
He is following Payson up.

Macy went to get Addi-Belle because Orion made her hurry
a little bit, and she did not like it. She came down face first.
She wanted to go when she was ready.
                              Orion is right behind her.

Raspberry Garden

April posting and current postings.  This is the before and after of our 2011 garden.
The Raspberry bushes were on sale at Walmart for $5.00 each.
They are normally about $16 to $20 at
a plant nursery so Ma decided to buy three bushes
You just plant them in the soil inside the carton they
came in.  The carton is degradable.

Pa decided he would make a special garden just for the Raspberry bushes.
It will take two years before we will get some good berries.  Orion
hopes they will taste good.  He does NOT like strawberries.
This is what the finished garden looks like.
You can see the three bushes.
Orion can't wait until we can actually eat the berries

Next, we will work on making another garden for the vegetables.
Orion likes vegetables.  Carrots and Corn on the cob are his favorites

Our original raspberry plants died right away,
and we had to replace them with new ones.
We decided to get one raspberry, one blackberry,
and a blueberry.  They have done really well
thanks to Pa

We grew chilli peppers,green peppers,
 and squash and a watermelon
and on the other side are all tomatoe plants.

There is nothing like fresh vegetables from your gardens
Ma expecially loves tomatoes.  They taste so much better
than store bought.  Pa loves the chilli's and bell peppers,
and Orion liked the squash shredded up and used
as a salad with ranch dressing.

Night out at Fire House Subs

We went to a new sub place that just opened in our neighborhood a few months ago.
I got the kids meal sub that came with a sub, drink, chips, and an Oreo cookie.
They also gave me this cool fireman's hat to wear.
Addison got a hat to wear as well.
So did Payson.  We had a lot of fun with our hats.

Renee Ransom and Orion

Ma's cousin Renee Ransom, was moving from Texas to Salt Lake City, Utah.  It is
about a 24 hour drive.  Albuquerque New Mexico is about the half-way point, so
she was able to stay at our house for two nights.
I got an attachment to her right away.  She has a great sense of humor, and is
very kind and gentle.  She read to me, and played WII with me, and watched
the movie "Yogi Bear" and showed me her cell phone.
On the last night of her visit, we all got to go out for dinner.  I wanted her to be
sure to sit next to me.
She gave me a lot of attention.  We had a blast.
I wish she could have stayed a lot longer.
Renee said that she did not see a chocolate fountain in a restaurant very often, so
we had to make sure and get a picture.  Renee and I definantly had chocolate
covered things for our desert. Chocolate covered marshmellows and strawberries.
Yummy!

SCOUT HIKE AT ELENA GALLEGOS PAGE 3

We were going to a trail that would lead to a water fall.  This is a little
stream that we all crossed.   Amy Mannos,  the pack leader tried to continue
through, but there was too much thicket of plants that were like wild rose bushes.
They had thorns.  We decided that this would have to be the end of the trail.
Coming back down, we all stopped at a huge rock for the scouts,
                   (and other kids)to climb on.
The rock was big enough that everyone of the scouts could fit.  It was fun.
When Payson (age 2) saw everyone on the rock, he wanted to climb on it also.
AND, when Addi-belle saw Payson on the rock, she wanted to get on it too.

SCOUT HIKE AT ELENA GALLEGOS TRAIL PAGE 2

We finally got to a shady tree, and then we stopped and rested for a bit.
This is where everyone ate some of their snacks and drank their drinks to get
some more energy.
This is Addi-Belle's style of hiking.
Payson found a very big rock.  He thought he would try it out for a spot.
This was while everyone else was walking on the hike.  We had to hurry
and catch up with the group.
Addi-Belle found a big rock too.  All the scenery was a new experience for
her and Payson.
