Medicine Lodge Stockade

Since we were in Mecidine Lodge, we decided to visit a museum
before we headed out of town.  The town of Medicine Lodge is
a very small town, and we did not have very far to travel to go to the museum.
The 2010 population census was 2,009 people living in Medicine Lodge.
The Medicine Lodge Stockade is
right on US highway 160,
the road we were using to go out on.

This is the tour guide.  She worked here alone,
and so if she was helping give the tour, she
would have to lock the front door until she returned.
The door was originally locked when we first got there,
but she opened it about 5 minutes later.
They only took cash as payment, or a check.
They are not set up with credit/debit card services.
but we loved this lady.....she was so much fun,
and so old fashioned.

Some of the things we saw inside were old equipment
like this cow milking machine.  Each handle used
to be hooked up to a cow's nipple, and then milked.
